Aww yeah!  We have a new chatbox now that is accessible from anywhere in the forum not only the main page.  If you look closely, there is a small button on the lower right part of the screen.  Click it and it will open the chat box.  Smile   I'm am trying to fix the code to enable sound alerts...  Hopefully I'll get it done.

For Firefox users, if you do not have sound, you have to install Quicktime ( http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/thankyou/index.html ) and also Windows Media Player plug-in ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/play-windows-media-files-in-firefox ) to have the sound alert.
